Sofia Balbi contacted the Firm in mid-2019. “Sofia is meticulous and very detailed. She is also charming and from the beginning it was easy to design for her. She did not have a fixed idea, she let herself be advised” says Yolanda Pérez, creative director of Yolancris, who this year has also designed the wedding dresses of other celebrities such as the Spanish influencer María Pombo or the Italian socialite Gloria Piscedda.

The characteristic boho style of Yolancris is inspired by the ’60s and’ 70s. “I love Uruguay. I’ve always wanted to visit Cabo Polonio,” a beach known as the hippie colony of the Atlantic.

The wedding dress for the ceremony Sofia Balbi chose is a halter mermaid silhouette dress that stands out for the creamy colour that create its rhinestones and golden thread. The tail the godet creates, mix of embroidered tulle in rhinestones and valencienne lace, is also the protagonist of this piece. Two strips outline the silhouette of the dress.

The second piece the bride chose is a dress with art decó geometry where lingerie lace is mixed with cotton strips, adorned with 3D flowers and golden trimmings. The large neckline on the back, where transparencies predominate, leads to a panel skirt with lace sides.
