5 steps to choosing the perfect wedding dress

When the big day is closer, the choice of THE dress is usually the priority for all brides. We know that this is a very special moment and that, with nerves on edge, a little guidance is needed to find your ideal gown. So that you have it as easy as possible and with the minimum of complications, here are 5 simple steps that will help you with the selection:

1.WHAT KIND OF BRIDE ARE YOU?

Before you start looking at places and calculating budgets, it is important to do a little introspection and define what type of bride you want to be. For this, it might be inspirational to look at your wardrobe and select the type of clothing that you usually wear and that makes you feel most comfortable. How would you define yourself? classic? romantic? daring? vintage?…

2. SHOP THE DRESS WITH TIME, BUT NOT A LOT.

3-4 months before the wedding is the perfect time to start looking for your dress, as you will have plenty of time in case you need to make any adjustments. It is recommended not to buy the dress too far in advance because both collections and trends evolve quickly, so your decision may also change in a few months. If you are clear about what type of dress you want, you can trust that in 4-3 months you will find your design.

3. BUDGETS, BORING BUT IMPORTANT:

Now that we know the place and the season, it’s time to come down from the clouds and define the budget for “The dress”. You can have a maximum and a minimum, so you can play in between several options.

Having set a budget will help us to focus on a price range and not dream far too big. Starting from that point, the selection of dresses that you first make will for sure be a real option. Then, it will be the details, the fabrics or the shape of the dress what will lead you to the final dress.

4. DESCRIBE HOW YOUR PERFECT DRESS WOULD BE IN 3 WORDS:

Once in the store, you can start to materialize all your ideas. It always helps a lot to be able to describe your dress in 3 adjectives. For example: long sleeve, minimal, lace, short dress, romantic vibe, couture details… Thus, the store managers can find accurately options that suit you and your wishes.

5. TAKE YOUR BEST FRIENDS & MOTHER ON THE FITTING DAY

Surely you do not plan to go alone on the day of the dress fitting, but we recommend that you choose a very small group of friends and/or your mother to advise you. They will help you and will not make you doubt.
