Mal de Amor, the editorial that imagines the wedding between Rosalía and Maluma

The Ibiza Wedding Planner and the photographer Dark Maito imagine the wedding of artists Rosalía and Maluma if they were ever to get married in the Mal de Amor bridal editorial.

In the small chapel of San Francesc de Ses Salines, located in the interior of Ibiza, the couple celebrate an intimate wedding behind closed doors, promising eternal love before the Lord. Full of Catholic iconography and in the house of Santa Gertrudis, patron saint of mystical people and the first great mystic along with the later Santa Brígida, Santa Catalina, Santa Teresa or Santa Margarita.

Nail art, flamenco, kitsch and a baroque maximalist aesthetic come together in this story that Yolancris accompanies with wedding dresses from the 2020 collection. Fringes, embroidery and lace are the protagonists of these pieces, very much in the style of Rosalía, whom the Firm has already dressed on previous occasions.

“If you give me the choice between you and glory so that history speaks of me, forever, I’ll stay with you.
The truth is, I have fallen in love and I love you and I love you. And I only want to be by your side, dream with your eyes, kiss your lips, feel in your arms that I am very happy.
If you give me a choice between you and that sky where the flight is free to go to another nest, oh love, I’ll stay with you.
If you give me a choice between you and a thousand ideas, that without them I am a lost man, oh my love, I’ll stay with you.”

covered by Rosalía at the 2019 Goya Awards
